You have to get what you can with rare parts. I’d get it and wait for another. I had three WWII combat rims for a while and finally found a fourth.

The new Thrush aren’t the same. They’re a repackaged Cherry Bomb. These, at least according to the old timers, sound different.

You’re not wrong, but they made them different lengths and it’d be a bear trying to get the same exact one, I’d imagine. Hopefully there’s a few swap meets I can go to next year and see if I can’t luck out

How handy are you? If you care more about the sound you could buy the one, cut it apart to see how it's constructed and duplicate it.
